Since November 2018 Rocky has been feeling very fatigued and ill. After going through several tests it was found that Rocky had a small ulcer which they thought was the cause of what was diagnosed as anemia. No treatment was required for the ulcer and he was put on medication to treat the anemia. As the days went by it was obvious that Rocky was still not getting better and his iron levels were still not increasing. After several tests, a chest scan, a Pet scan, MRI and a biopsy it was determined that Rocky has advanced stage melanoma cancer. Our family is working with the doctors and with the new radiation immuno-therapy treatment available we are very hopefully for a successful recovery. We will know more in the next few weeks and will update CaringBridge as we are provided more information. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as our family begins this journey.
