Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Robert "Bob" Sackett was admitted to Methodist Hospital on Feb 11th, 2017 for what appeared to be signs of kidney failure.  Over the next 11 days he continued to decline in many areas.  He is now able to respond only occasionally and the doctors are struggling to find out more of the cause of all of this.  He was able to leave the hospital for a short time this past Thursday to attend the Celebration of Life for a very special niece of his.  At the service, we were reminded of the saying that is now the cover photo for this site.... "Your life is made up of two dates and a dash.  Make the most of the dash."  While we don't know what is causing his decline, we believe the Lord is letting us know his Dash may be coming to an end.

Today, after many family discussions, and in conjunction with Bob's advanced directives, we met with the Hospice Team here at Methodist Hospital.  We are beginning to prepare him for a move to Hospice once he is stable enough.  We will keep you updated as we can.  We will never know when the end date will come, but we will continue to make the most of the dash.
