On Friday August 20th, Robert suffered a stroke and was taken to the Emergency Room. A CT Scan was done and it was found that he had a blood clot on the left side of his brain. He was airlifted to Swedish Medical Center for emergency procedure to remove the blood clot; they used medicine to help dissolve and suck out the clot. Over the course of the weekend, Robert suffered several more strokes and doctors found a larger blood clot in his heart that they believed was where the one in his brain originated from. Robert is currently sedated and on a ventilator.

After being told how much the strokes had affected Robert’s health, we were very shocked, depressed, and had nowhere to go, but our faith in our God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. We called the Chaplain from the hospital in to pray with us. We called the Church, and had the Priest administer the Anointment for the Sick and we spread the word to everyone we knew that we needed prayers desperately!

Each day, we pray that a blood clot didn’t travel to his brain. We pray there isn’t significant swelling. We pray his pupils are dilating.  We pray the damage is not so significant that he can recover and we pray his heart continues to respond to the medication. We know he is a fighter. We know he wants to live and we know we can’t imagine life with out him. Anyone who knows Robert knows his faith in God is strong. His love for his family is unwavering and his friends mean everything to him.   Please pray with all your heart as he would do for you. Let God know he will be a great testament to his gifts and miracles, to those of us on earth.
