Rich Ernst

On Thursday, 6/29/17, Rich was in a serious motorcycle accident.

 His right ankle badly fractured in many places
surgery was performed twice that evening -- lots of metal plates and
screws installed.  (He'll have problems at the airport security!
LOL!).  Both bones in lower leg have a spiral fracture.  He has a hole in his lung and a rib
broken.  His left big toe was smashed -- surgery will be performed both in the near future and in a year from now.  His right hand has a neat row of stitches. His left hamstring extremely badly sprained – so it’s
almost impossible for him to get around.  His entire body is
beautifully colored black and blue -- but his helmet and a heavy
leather jacket spared his head!  So he looks GREAT!   LOL!

He is kept so busy during the day with meds, nurses, PT, OT….  He’s constantly interrupted!

Since they started the morphine for pain prior to all his “exercises” he also tends to be more groggy.
