Hello, Fellow Travelers and Survivor's, Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. Many of you know about this latest development in our lives and some of you don't. So while we've been managing the early stages of preparation leading up to Richard's treatment, it nevertheless has certainly been that proverbial "curve ball". Somewhere towards the end of July or in early August, Richard was diagnosed with Head and Neck Cancer, specifically he has a tumor on the back, left side of his tongue. The good news is it was caught early and the prognosis on his particular type of Head & Neck cancer is excellent: following a 7-week intensive treatment of both radiation and chemotherapy, there is a 90% of "curing" his cancer.
