On. Sunday September 17, Dad suffered a hemorrhagic stroke while getting ready for bed Saturday night! He fell to the floor but was able to call my mom in the other room and together they called 911. Dad spent 5 days in the ICU, before transferring to Carolinas Rehabilitation- Northeast in Concord NC. He has complete right sided hemiparesis with difficulty swallowing. He is alert, cognitively aware and talking but extremely exhausted. He has a long road ahead, Mom meanwhile is pleasantly confused and we are in the process of trying to find the best place for Mom for the near and possibly distant future.. Thought and prayers are greatly appreciated!!!
