Raven Hill

In March of this year, I noticed a very swollen lymph node on the left side of my neck. I went in to have it checked out and the doctor wanted to monitor for a month. So, a month went by and the lymph node hadn’t gone down in size and others near it were also becoming noticeable so I went in again. This time they sent me for a CT scan, but told me they thought it was just an infection that my body was having trouble fighting off since I didn’t really have any other symptoms. I got a call from my doctor a week later saying that they caught part of my chest in the CT scan and found a large mass there. She told me a couple different people looked at it and agreed it looked like a lymphoma. Since then, it’s been many appointments getting other scans and tests done, bloodwork, a couple biopsies and meetings with my oncologist.

The plan is chemotherapy for 4-6 months with me going in once every 2 weeks. Radiation is not part of the plan for now. I finally had my first chemo treatment this past Tuesday and am ready for the next few months!
