Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.

Peter was taken into the Emergency Room on Friday, October 7 because he had been having some symptoms that looked like he may have been having a stroke.  He had a CT scan and they found a mass in the front right area of his brain.  He then had an MRI  and the initial results indicate that it may be glioblastoma, a form of brain cancer.

Peter was transferred during the night to the VA Hospital in Minneapolis.  On Saturday he was given a CT scan to see if there is cancer in any other areas of his body.  The results from the MRI and CT scans are still being reviewed by the VA doctors and we are now being told that we will not get news on a definitive diagnosis, prognosis or plan until Sunday at the earliest.  It is a holiday weekend (Columbus Day is Monday) so the hospital staffing is particularly thin and things are going slowly.  We will continue to update this site as we know more in the days to come.  We covet your prayers during  this time.
