On Thursday, August 17, my life changed. I received a call from my doctor informing me that test results revealed I have cancer. That is a call no one ever expects or can ever be prepared for. The day I had the biopsy, I "mistakenly" went to the doctor. It was supposed to be my daughter's appointment not mine. I am aware that God was already at work.
I will have surgery on Wednesday, August 30, at Baptist Health Cancer Center in Lexington. Updates will be shared if you'd like to check on my progress. Please pray that the cancer is contained, and the lymph nodes come back clear.
So many of you have already offered love, support, and prayers. I am overwhelmed and blown away by your genuine expressions. Thanks doesn't communicate the gratitude I feel for your love and concern. I am trusting God to guide me through-I am extremely blessed to have you in my life.
