Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.  As some of you already know, my Moms story (Heidi’s version at least, so this might be dramatic) began on Monday night July 30, 2018.  She went to the ER that night with some concerns in her overall health after not feeling well, having some lower back pain and being told that she looked jaundice.  The ER did labwork, a UA and based the abnormal results did a routine CT scan of her abdomen.  Within 15 mins of getting back to her ER room the ER Dr. was in there, shutting the door, somber faced, explaining that our “kidney problems” due to her kidney disease was actually a large mass on her pancreas, a blockage in her common bile duct and something going on with her liver.  The words that came out of her mouth moments later, forever changed our lives forever “possibility of pancreatic cancer”, jaw drop, insert tears, fear, questions and the feelings of being hit by a Mac truck!  Soooooo...starts our journal entries and what I imagine will be an adventure, a roller coaster ride, a journey of Faith and a whole lot of prayers (maybe a few curse words along the way just because it’s me)!
