On June 13th, 2016 my mom was diagnosed with colorectal cancer, stage IV. In my mom's case, the cancer has metastasized to her liver and lungs. We are surrounded by a team of professionals, family and friends and are gearing up to face this fight head on while we do whatever it takes to keep mom comfortable, pain-free and smiling.  If you know our family well, you probably already recognize that we all carry a sense of pride, readily in our back pockets, and it often gets in the way of accepting help from others. So, please forgive the stubbornness you may be met with and gently remind us all that it's time to let go a little bit.

Mom will be starting her third round of chemotherapy on Friday, July 22nd. The first two treatments were difficult, resulting in several hospitalizations for fever and dehydration.  However, between myself, my sister Amy and my busy-bee dad, we have a good idea of what we need to do to hopefully avoid that this time.  We do anticipate that finding what "works best" will be always changing.

Please feel free to leave notes of encouragement, prayer, love, insights, positive energy and light for my mom here or wherever you are inspired to.

I will do my best to update this site accordingly.  The support and love is deeply appreciated.

Warmly,

Annie, Amy and Tom
