While diligently working to recover from an early October knee replacement, Pat began to feel worse instead of better, noticing increased fatigue and other symptoms. She and Randy took action. A series of medical consultations, many distasteful tests and blood draws, some ER visits, and two hospital stays led to some sobering news in mid December, a diagnosis of leukemia. Pat was transferred to a nationally ranked Cancer Center at UVA Hospital - Charlottesville on December 19, 2017.  The enemy is known.  The team (including all of you) is assembling.  Pat and Randy will learn more about treatment options and what lies ahead in the coming days.  Meanwhile, they ask for your prayers.
