James 5:14-15: Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
Pastor John has spent his life preaching and praying from both the pulpit and the bedsides of many people. People in need of healing: spiritual, relational, mental and physical healing. Now it is Pastor John that needs the interceding prayers and the support. Pastor John and his wife, Debra, left for a Hawaiian vacation that was to end with a reunion with almost the whole family! The first week John and Deb spent some much needed time together, unwinding from the stresses of life in San Diego and getting ready to see the family!
The morning of April 6th John woke up and wasn't feeling good. He expressed that he had a headache but was ready and excited to get to Kauai and see his kids and Grandkids. Deb and he boarded the plane to Kauai and things were going as planned. After they landed things took a turn for the worse, luckily there was an ER doctor in the same area as John and Deb when he started showing some serious signs of a stroke. Soon after the Kauai ambulance came and took him to the local hospital. It wasn't but a few hours later that they decided that John would have to be transported to Honolulu for better care, which he was shortly after.
