During our 20 week ultrasound, one of our twin boys, Gunnar, was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect called “hypoplastic left heart syndrome,” or HLHS. This means that the left side of his heart did not develop properly. This condition will require a series of three surgeries and possibly a heart transplant at some point in his life. We have relocated our family to Rochester, MN, to get care at Mayo Clinic. Thank you for taking the time to come along side us and pray for our heart warrior.
