Welcome to Ollie's CaringBridge website. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. We try to keep everyone up to date and to respond to everyone, but this can be challenging and overwhelming, and so we are using CaringBridge as a place to keep our family and friends updated in one place.
As many of you know Ollie was diagnosed with B-Cell ALL Leukemia in October of 2019. It came as a shock and his treatment has not been easy; however Ollie is a trooper and powering through his treatments. With a lot of positive thoughts and prayer he should enter into maintenance chemotherapy this coming September. As you can imagine Covid has made his recovery a little more difficult. Like other kids he is homeschooled and attends his classes via zoom and Facetime. However, unlike most everyone else, this started for Ollie last October. And since then he is either home, at the clinic or in the hospital. Unfortunately he is not out and about as much as he would like.
Ollie spends most of his days playing with his friends on Xbox or Nintendo Switch. He FaceTimes with family and friends and he loves to watch cooking shows and other series on Hulu and Netflix. When he is feeling up to it Ollie is also known to do some cooking in the kitchen.
If you know Ollie then you know that he has a passion for food. What you may not know is that Ollie was accepted into Food and Finance High School (and will start in the fall pending any issues with Covid). Needless to say, he is super excited to attend this high school.
We will try to keep this site updated so that you can all root for Ollie. Feel free to post messages on here as well. Most importantly please continue to pray for him and send out your best for his full recovery.
