Principled Agriculture: The Norco Ranch Eggs Difference

When Norco Ranch Eggs was founded over 40 years ago, the company was built on one guiding principle: to provide farm-fresh and nutritious eggs for families in Southern California and the California Inland Empire. Our company has evolved since those early days, but that core principle remains. Today, we provide the freshest eggs available to consumers, all while adhering to the most stringent food quality and safety standards in the world. We have also adopted principled agricultural standards that have become a model for the egg production industry.

Ethical Agricultural Practices from Farm to Table

Our company produces traditional shell eggs and cage free eggs for consumers under our premier brand Norco Ranch an private label brands for supermarket chains across Southern California. Each and every egg we produce comes from our network of family-owned and operated farms.

We know that our hens are the most valuable component of our business, so we have implemented some of the most rigorous agricultural and animal husbandry standards to ensure their health. Healthy hens produce healthy eggs. With state-of-the art facilities and access to nutritious food and clean water, our hens produce the quality eggs our company has built our reputation on. Our farmers adhere to guidelines established by a third-party animal welfare organization. This organization routinely inspects and monitors our agricultural and processing facilities for compliance. These ethical agricultural operations, and our stringent food quality and safety practices, help to ensure that Norco Ranch eggs are the very best farm-fresh eggs available in our service region.

SUMPTUOUS MICROWAVE EGG AND VEGGIE BREAKFAST BOWL

For a delectable serving of this nutritious dish, you’d need an egg, two tablespoons each of chopped mushrooms, shredded and part-skim mozzarella cheese, and thinly sliced baby spinach, two sliced grapes or cherry tomatoes, and a tablespoon of water.

Coat an eight-oz. cup of ramekin or custard with cooking spray. Then add the egg, spinach, mushrooms, and water. Beat the egg until well-blended. Microwave the mixture on high for 30 seconds. Stir then put back on the microwave for about 30 to 45 seconds longer, or until the egg is almost set.

After topping your delicious, egg-based veggie breakfast with cheese and tomatoes, it is ready to serve. Keep in mind not to overcook this dish, as the scrambled eggs with continue to cook and firm up after you remove the mixture from the microwave, adds Norco Ranch.

Delectable Egg Dishes For a Great Dinner

While eggs are often favorite morning fare to start things right, there’s no reason you cannot have a healthy serving of egg-based dishes to cap the long day. Here are great egg concoctions for those memorable and filling dinners.

Spiced Lentils with Egg

This primarily vegetarian requires stewed lentils and split peas. You’d also need two teaspoons of garam masala, minced garlic cloves, and shallots, and four cups of low-sodium chicken broth to complement the lentils and four large eggs. Heat the oven to 350°F then use ovenproof baking dishes for the lentils. Make a deep hollow in the center of each and crack in the individual eggs, then sprinkle salt and pepper. Bake for 18 to 25 minutes and serve immediately.

Pesto Zoodle Bowl
For this easy-to-prepare meal, you’d need basil pesto, a large egg, salt and black pepper, and a medium zucchini. Pick up that container of zucchini noodles and a jar of your favorite pesto, and in about five minutes you've got a simple but sumptuous dinner. Cook the noodles first, then make the eggs with seasonings of salt and pepper. You’d want to cook until the yolk is set but still runny. Place the eggs on top of the noodles and sprinkle with a dash of red pepper flakes or hot sauce for that extra spice.

Kimchi Fried Rice with Extra Greens

For that distinct Korean flavor, you’d need chopped Napa cabbage kimchi and a teaspoon of gochujang mixed in with white or brown rice and sprinkled with scallions and thinly sliced greens such Swiss chard or spinach. Stir-fry the rice until heated, add the greens, scallions and a teaspoon of tamari or soy sauce. Push the rice to one side and pour in two large, lightly beaten eggs. Stir the eggs into soft curds then mix into the rice. Serve drizzled with sesame oil.
