Easter Sunday, my dad was taken to the emergency room for flu like symptoms and chest pain. After numerous tests and a bone marrow biopsy, he was diagnosed with Acute Myeloblastic Leukemia (AML). They immediately started two types of chemotherapy, and have been awaiting genetic results from the bone marrow biopsy to determine if any other additional chemo drugs will be added to his treatment. He will be staying in the hospital until they can stabilize his blood counts and get his pneumonia and fevers under control. Prayers are much appreciated as he begins this new journey. He is a fighter, and as he said “Let’s do this!” 🧡
