Greetings everyone. As most know, I retired from Coldwell Banker June 1, 2016. Approximately 30 days later was diagnosed with throat cancer. Much of August was purely diagnostic routines, scans, tests, prep work related to cancer treatments. This week began treatments....Wednesday, September 7th was my first six hour chemo treatment. Also Wed - Friday experienced three sessions of radiation. All has gone well except the obvious nausea which kicked in Friday and has been "oh so pleasant." However, the prescribed medication has worked well. I have eight weeks of treatments ending November 1st assuming no required breaks. This ordeal is a first for me......have been blessed with a lifetime of almost perfect health, thus coping with real sickness is odd for me. I am grateful for numerous friends and appreciate the good will expressed by all. Means a lot to hear sincere sentiments of care.
