The picture is of the Tylers saying goodbye to their house on Lori Lane. They have moved to a new home to begin a new chapter. Natalie and Chad, along with parents, Jeff and Robin Norsted, have purchased a large house where they will all live as they face yet another huge challenge together. The address of the new abode is: 1841 Deephaven Drive Woodbury, MN 55129
Natalie has had her own significant health issues for several years, one of which is severe liver disease. This summer was spent making multiple trips to the ER and many stays in the hospital. Natalie is now in total liver failure and is in need of a liver transplant. This could happen at any time now, as soon as a compatible liver becomes available. Fortunately for her it’s most likely only a matter of days.
Natalie would like everyone to know how grateful she is for the team of healthcare professionals at the University of Minnesota who have been and will be taking care of her. When she has the surgery, she will be in the hospital for a minimum of two weeks followed by a month of at home 24 hour care.
The hospital where she will have the surgery is M Health Fairview University of MN-East Bank Hospital. Natalie knows people will have many questions after reading this post and she wishes to be open and transparent about her condition. She hopes this post in itself will answer why she might not have kept in touch with friends that she usually communicates with on a regular basis. If you have her contact information, she is happy to respond to you if and when she is able to do so. You can also post questions and responses on this Caring Bridge site.
The Tyler and Norsted families want people to know that they would appreciate any help you can offer during this difficult time. It’s been a long haul and the fatigue level is visible. Please keep them all in your thoughts and prayers.
