Nancy has a Thoracic Aortic aneurysm( a bulging thin area of the upper blood vessel, the aorta)that is 5.0 CM. This needs to repaired to prevent it from rupturing or tearing. She also has a bicuspid aortic valve (BAV), which is congenital, meaning she was born with it. the valve only has two cusps when it normally has three leaflets or Cusps which close to make sure blood flows out to the body and prevents blood flowing back into the heart. when it only has two cusps, it does not function as well as it should and works and over time Calcium deposits can make stiff so it doesn't open as fully as it should, making it harder for the heart to pump blood. this extra work can cause the left lower chamber(ventricle) to enlarge over time. the valve can also be leaky allow blood to flow back to the heart. this also makes the heart less efficient because it has to overwork. The valve will need to be repaired or replaced as well. SHe will be having Surgery on Wednesday July 1st, 2020.

Daily updates will be coming out.

Nancy appreciate' s your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting and keep us in your prayers.
