Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
As most are aware by now, Nancy suffered a fairly severe stroke on the morning of Friday, Feb. 8th. She was rushed by ambulance to St.Clare Hospital (1015 Bowles Ave. Fenton, MO 63026), where they were able to quickly find the blockage in her neck. Unfortunately, she has lost most of the function on the left side of her face and body. However, she is fully comprehensive and can still speak (with some difficulty). Each day that passes, she shows small improvements and we are patiently praying that they will be able to remove her nutrition tube soon and she will be able to eat and drink on her own. We will try to keep everyone in the know as soon as any improvements, updates or changes are made. She is currently in Room#4115 and visitors, flowers, cards ect. are welcome. The staff has stressed the importance of rest for her recovery though, so her brain is allowed the downtime to heal. It is probably best to keep visits to a minimum length and low energy.
Thank You everyone for the thoughts and prayers! We Love You All!!! Nancy is so loved by so many and we have such faith that love like that will give her the motivation she needs to fight for her recovery!!!
