Welcome to Nancy's blog.

Nancy has had cancer 4 times over her life and this time it's a whopper - Pancreatic Cancer.  It was diagnosed in September.  She started chemo, trying 2 different kinds until she, along with her doctor, decided to stop.  The chemo was making her life miserable (an understatement)  and was not making a significant difference with the inoperable  tumor.  Starting Hospice has significantly improved the quality of her life.

We started this blog to keep everyone informed of her progress and to give people an opportunity to send words of encouragement and love.

This is a time in Nancy's life where she has had a chance to slow down, reminisce and talk about spiritual beliefs.  She has had a pretty amazing life!  She wants people to know that while she hasn't given up hope of living a while longer, she frequently quotes Mike who told her, "Nancy, everybody dies."  Then she talk about how she believes there is life after death, citing the pigeons who come and visit once in a while (Hi Mike) and the feeling that Lynn is nearby.  She is happy (when not in pain) with no fear.  This is a real gift for those of us who love her.
