My mom's "Leukemia story" really started in April.  She had been feeling so tired and weak since the beginning of the year.  Finally, the doctors determined that she had AML - acute leukemia.  It was a devastating prognosis for all of us!  After the initial "shock", we all pulled together to find ways to be with her.  Over the past few months, she has had countless doctor visits, 4 rounds of chemo shots, a few stays in the hospital, blood draws twice a week, and over a dozen blood transfusions!  This is NOT the journey that we would have chosen, but it's the one we are walking.  We are so thankful for friends and family who are walking with us and praying for us.  We will do our best to keep you informed as we move forward.
