Less than two weeks ago, Nancy was having pains in her stomach & side. The following morning, she had an ultrasound & was told she had gallstones & they needed to be removed. That same day, she had her gallbladder removed & during the surgery, the surgeon found a large tumor on her liver. The tumor was biopsied & found to be malignant. She had a pet scan on Friday, which revealed the cancer is in her liver, both lungs & her right breast. The official diagnosis is “poorly differentiated carcinoma of breast with metastasis to liver and lungs.” She will have a brain scan tomorrow & begin very aggressive chemo on Wednesday. After rounds of chemo, she will have a double mastectomy & then radiation. As of now, she is unsure of the time line for everything. What Nancy is asking for from anyone who asks is PRAYER! Knowing that so many people are praying for her is giving her wonderous strength. Please leave messages & comments for her, as I am sure this will keep her spirits up. And, of course, please continue to pray for Nancy, as well as for Mike, Hayden, Hunter & Kerigan.
