Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

On Christmas Eve Nadine was preparing to celebrate Christmas. She washed her "sleigh" , packed it up with gifts, loaded up the crockpot of Christmas soup she had made and was ready to go join her family for a Christmas evening.
Apparently she experienced a sudden headache since she went to her neighbor and friend Deanne and said she was having an aneurism and needed to go to the doctor.
Through tests in Hillsboro's ER a brain bleed was found. Arrangements were made to transfer her to Wichita by helicopter. In true Nadine fashion it had to have a unique twist. Fog in the area caused them to land in Hutchinson and she came the rest of the way by land.
Nadine has been in Neurocritical ICU at St Francis since Saturday evening and getting excellent care.  Tests show no aneurism so it is believed to be a vein bleed. Due to fluids and swelling of the brain she became unresponsive for Christmas Day.
With draining of fluids, time and answers to many, many prayers we have seen much improvement. On Monday, Dec 26 we entered her room and heard her tell the nurse, "praying for increased health." We followed that up with a few questions. She answered in ways that let us know she could give correct info with a bit of "Nadine" sprinkled in.
There is more to the journey but we thank and praise Abba Father for the gift of progress. There are so many examples of God's faithfulness and provision in Nadine's life- this is another.
Many of you have been praying- she has joined you in those prayers.  This website will keep you informed about the answers to prayer.
