Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
On the 21st of December I found a hard lump in my upper right breast. After seeing a NP at my local Drs office she did not think that it would be anything. She said that if it felt different to me it was worth having more tests done. So after the first of the year I went in and had a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound. The radiologist noticed something and suggested a biopsy.  Within 3 days I had my biopsy and then 7 days later I was called into my drs office and told that I had Invasive Breast Cancer. My life changed completely.
I was given a more specific diagnosis last week when I met with some of my Drs at the Swedish Cancer Institute in Seattle. I have Invasive Lobular Carcinoma of the right breast. This is my journey.
