In September, a few weeks after a wonderful trip to Scotland, I was diagnosed with and treated for Appendicitis. During the process of this treatment, it was discovered that I had Appendix Cancer (Signet Ring Cell type). After consulting 3 surgeons and getting information and support from others with the diagnosis on a Facebook Group, I HAVE A PLAN. I would like my family and friends to be informed as I receive 6 rounds of chemotherapy (Folfurinox) at Aurora Cancer Center in Grafton, surgery and HIPEC in April at the University of Chicago and 6 more rounds of chemo (the sandwich approach).
