For all of you that have shown so much concern for Molly, we received a lot of requests to start this site, so that you can keep up with her daily activities and status. For those that are not familiar with what Molly is going through, I will give you a quick overview of Molly's situation. Back in mid to late August , Molly was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer. If you are not familiar with this disease, like myself at the time, it is a very nasty, aggressive form of cancer, for which there is no cure. She has gone through 7 seven months of chemotherapy ( 6 complete rounds of it) and has had some very positive results. After an MRI on her head because of recent seizure activity, they found several lesions in her brain. This is very common for this type of cancer. She also, on a positive note, had a recent PET scan from her neck down that was found to be completely normal. That is the great news and the proof that the chemo has worked. However, because of the lesions in her brain, she has started Radiation Therapy in hopes of removing them. The Doctor is very optimistic that they can be removed successfully. We pray and stay optimistic everyday in hopes of a complete comeback. The last 7 months have been hell but the courage and strength that Molly has shown over these rough times have been nothing short of miraculous!! Again, for everyone that has shown so much concern and want to help, we greatly appreciate it. Molly does have a "gofundme" site to help with her with her medical expenses, if interested. I just can't say enough for all the support and love that we have received during this tough period. We will stay in touch and God Bless everyone!!!
