Missy Lavintman

Friends and family - we are using this page as a way to keep all the people who care so deeply about Missy informed about her journey and progress.  We will post one journal entry a day to keep you all updated.  Please send good wishes, thoughts and prayers for her full and speedy recovery.  Please check this page rather than reaching out to us directly as we are focusing our attention on Missy's healing and recovery.

Missy checked into the hospital on Friday night 4/20/18 to have some tests run on her heart.  She remained in the hospital over the weekend and on Monday morning she went in for an angiogram.  She suffered a heart attack moments after the procedure and needed to go for emergency open heart surgery.  The surgeons and doctors were pleased with the result of the first procedure and she is now in the cardiovascular ICU in critical but stable condition.  Missy is expected to remain in this unit for the next several days at least while her heart continues to heal and she is closely monitored by the medical staff.  We, her family, are by her side 24-hours a day and appreciate all your love and support.
