"I can't believe that God would take the perfect one he gave me." Says Vic Carter after hearing that her husband of 15 years, Mike, was diagnosed with Colon Cancer. The have been together for 15 years. Vic's son just had his first son which gives the two of them 10 grandchildren.
Mike went in for a simple colonoscopy and was told the devastating news. He had worked as a Trim Carpenter up to the week before he went into the hospital. He was feeling fine. He left the hospital with a port so that he could start Chemo treatments the next week. After that first treatment he had sever diarrhea and a 103 degree fever which put him back in the hospital. He stayed for another week. He went home with orders for Vic to infuse antibiotics daily for two weeks.
He is now back in the hospital because he has a blood clot that the Doctor prescribed a blood thinner which cause rectal bleeding. He is waiting for the Doctors at KU Med Center to prescribe corrective action.
His attitude is upbeat and optimistic. Please leave your supportive comments for Mike, Vic, and Family.
