As many of you know, Mikayla was suffering from brain swelling of an unknown origin. She spent the majority of December 2018 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines and Mayo hospital in Rochester. She was discharged on Deceber 27, 2018 and has been recovering extremely well back at her home in Des Moines. Thank you to all who gave support and words of hope and encouragement. This is our story.
