❤Michael is presently a patient at St. Peter's hospital in the critical care unit, he is unresponsive and receiving life support. ❤ On February 15 he went to the ER with a worsening cough and trouble expelling secretions. He was admitted after being diagnosed with pneumonia. On February 17, Michael was found to be unresponsive, with a slow heartbeat. After being given epinephrine he was placed on a ventilator and transferred to St.Peter's Hospital to undergo therapeutic hypothermia. Subsequently, he woke up enough to respond with his eyes to the neurologist's commands, providing us reason and hope that he would in time wake up. He underwent a tracheotomy procedure and peg tube for feeding followed by some minor surgical procedures, but he went back into a deep sleep and hasn't yet been able to wake up. We will give him all the time he needs and we will keep supporting him in this manner. Michael has been through so much, we are sure he just needs more time. ❤
