Merlyn has recently been diagnosed with coronary artery disease, with about 90% blockage of the the left anterior descending (LAD) coronary artery. The location of the blockage was not amenable to a stent, so he is schedule for a coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) with the left internal thoracic artery on Monday, April 10, 2017.
