Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

I was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma (breast cancer) in February of this year.  I spent most of February and early March undergoing various tests to help inform me, my family and my doctors what the best course of treatment would be for my type of cancer.  MRI's for breast cancer - not so fun.  Genetic testing - kind of cool.  I had 2 surgeries in March, recovered in April/early May and then began 5 weeks of radiation treatment.  During this time period I often thought it would be easier if there was one place my friends and colleagues could go to, to find out how I was doing. I was terrible this year at replying to voicemails and emails and texts.  So here we are finding ourselves back going to more doctors appointments, anxiously awaiting information on what kind of surgery I will need and when it will be.  I am so very lucky that my doctors have caught things early in my body not once, but twice. I wish all cancer patients were as fortunate.  Thanks for caring about me and letting me tell my story.
