It started with a routine mammogram that caught the earliest form of breast cancer. From what I now know...Ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) is non-life threatening in its current form. The standard of care is lumpectomy, radiation and tamoxifen if it is hormone positive, which mine is. I’ll try to have myself or my sister update the site with new information as we get it. Moral of this story so far...GET A MAMMOGRAM! -Melanie ❤️
