Megan Gipson Megan (Gustafson) Gipson

Megan Gipson was born July 11, 1978, in Goleta California. She spent many formative years in Lyons, Oregon. The family moved to Atlanta, Georgia, when she was a teenager where she met many life long friends. She returned to Oregon  at nineteen, where she found a home and faith family first in Corvallis and then Monmouth. She has struggled with the increasingly painful effects of Crohn's disease and steroid treatments since she was eighteen. Her bravery and bright spirit in the face of suffering has inspired and touched many lives.  She is preceded in death by her mother, May Gustafson, and younger sister Bridget. She is survived by her father and step-mother Edwin and Joan Gustafson,  older sister Erin, younger twins Kristin and Lars, and nephew Oscar. In life she claimed Sherry  Pittam as her un-biological mom, Kristina Waldron as her un-biological sister, and Stephen Smart as her un-biological brother. Her god children are Damien, Montana, Miah, and Emily.
