Welcome to our CaringBridge website, created to support our funny, loyal, and fierce friend Megan Brendel. As most of you have heard, Megan will be going in for radiation treatment for 6 weeks. She starts this week. Both Megan and John will need some support so they can focus 100% of their energy on Megan's journey to remission. First and foremost, Megan will need assistance going in for treatment. Her care is being managed by DHMC. She will need to go in Monday-Friday for her appointment and will need drivers. For those who can help with this task, it is suggested that you arrive at her place 45 minutes before the appointment. That will give her 30 minutes to get to DHMC and 15 minutes to sign in. Treatments last for about 45 minutes and then bring her back to her house. In all, it will take about 2 hours. She also might need an accessional detour to Dan and Whit's or the Co-op. It is likely that she will need help after the 6 weeks of treatment due to fatigue. Once she starts, Megan can let us know how else we can help her. Maybe walking Changa or cooking/cleaning?
