Hello Friends, welcome to Camden's CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We cherish  your love and support and embrace your words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Good morning, The last 48 hours have been a whirlwind of heartbreak and disbelief. As many of you have heard our little Camden has been diagnosed with an inoperable DIPG brain tumor. He is currently at Orange County children's hospital nestled between the arms of his loving parents. I believe he will  be released to his home either today or tomorrow.

Earlier this week Staci noticed Camden walking a little funny with some right sided weakness to his arm so she decided it would be best to take him into the ER.  The cat scan showed a tumor within the brain stem in an area to delicate to operate. The pons area of the brain controls the body's vital functions such as breathing, vision, and heartbeat. As of now, the family has decided the best treatment option is small doses of radiation to the tumor in hopes that it will slow its progression and lessen the effects of the tumor on little Camden.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions, Monique Machado
