I have created this page for updates on Matthew, as we journey through his AVM (Arteriovenous Malformation). What AVM is a tangled mess of blood vessels in the brain that could rupture sometime in his life. So treatment is necessary. How we found this....We were invited to U of M to do a twin study which included a MRI of the boys brains. Alex was fine, but in Matthew, they found a spot. We were referred to have a High contrast MRI at our local hospital. Which has lead us to other appointments. His last appointment was an Angiogram on Friday, November 24. That showed that he has an AVM and what our next steps are....we now go for a very fine detailed MRI. We do have a follow up appointment this Tuesday.  We do know Matthew will need surgery but the whos, whats, whens and wheres and hows are all yet to be determined. As we know more we will post. But at this time, we know that God has us in the journey. We have had many blessings in the journey this far and we know that moving forward God is with us all the way.  We are blessed with all the friends (being Matthew and Alex's, Tom's,  and Cori's) we have and has given us support in prayer, guidance, activities, and a listening ear while we talk this out.   We only ask that you keep Matthew, in prayer with his attitude (which is great) his bravery through all of this, and the surgeons expertise and guided hands.   We will keep you posted as we know more in the coming days, weeks, months and year.
