Prayers and love going out to Matthew. .... Story of what has happened.... The night of Dec 5th 2017 Matt was on his way home Driving his truck on the Hwy by St Ansgar around 7pm Matthew and another vehicle swerved to miss a deer and collided head on. Matt was then transported by Ambulance to Mitchell County Hospital in Osage and then way stabilized and life flighted directly to Mayo Clinic St Mary's in Rochester Minnesota. Kassie had no idea what was going on till 730 when she received a phone call from a trooper stating Matthew was being air lifted to Rochester. Kassie knew nothing of Matt s condition until she was just out of Rochester 12 miles away.  Drs called from St Mary's explaining Matthew had a broken left leg in multiple places and a shattered wrist and facial trauma. Matthew was stable and talking to the Drs at this time. Kassie arrived at the hospital just to miss Matthew going in to xray and directly to the OR for surgery. Kassie was then told that Matthew does have some internal abdomen bleeding and that is the first thing they will look at and fix to make sure he has no major internal organ problems. ..... continued in journals
