Mary Lou Butler has been diagnosed with a very rapidly growing thyroid cancer called anaplastic thyroid cancer.
After her Biopsy she saw 3 different doctors to see about treatment. Surgery, followed by chemotherapy and radiation is the standard treatment performed for this type of cancer. Unfortunately since Mary Lou is in the advanced stages of Alzheimer's this treatment is not recommended.
The Doctors have recommended and we have arranged for Hospice to help Marylou and the family during this difficult time.
