Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.  Please consider supporting this website as it has been of such to support to many dear ones in our community.

Mary's family decided that a Caring Bridge site might be helpful to all of us who love her and are praying for her right now, to be able to read the latest updates on Mary's situation and to be able to share with her sons, her brothers and sisters, our love and concern for Mary, and what a gift she is in our lives.  Mary's son Paul Oldford is with her at Denver Health (a.k.a. Denver General Hospital), along with her sister-in-law and dear friend Marla.  Her sisters Peggy and Patty are on their way and should join them at Mary's bedside on Friday (tomorrow).  They will provide the latest, most accurate information on Mary's health status to this website.  Patty has also urged us to keep Joe and his family in our hearts and to reach out to them with loving care during this difficult time.  Joe's sons Travis and Trent, are here in Glenwood.  His daughter Lindsie and her husband Dean and children are still in Texas but keeping close tabs with Paul to make their decision when to make the trip north.  This  is a time when, we know, Mary would have provided quiet, gentle, generous support to those impacted and would just do the right thing without fanfare or talk.  Let us all do that for Mary and her family, and in honor of her love for Joe.

Paul and Lindsie have also been in close contact about what the media is printing, what reports are being made.  Paul urges all of us to learn to live with not knowing what really happened yet, as the investigation is on-going and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation has not completed its process, nor will forensics be final for weeks.  The families understand how hard it is to not know why something like this has happened, the urge to try to make sense of it with theories and our own opinions, but to please honor Joe and Mary with holding off on conjecture and rumor, and instead focus on prayers and how we can support two families who are experiencing such loss, grief and challenges.  How we can help them will be forthcoming on this website.  Meantime, let's support one another with love and care.

We are new to this CB tool for communication so bear with us as we begin this journey together.
