Mary was diagnosed with advanced ovarian cancer that has spread to her omentum, stomach, liver, and lymph nodes on June 19th and was immediately swept up into the cancer clinic in Saskatoon. Doug and Mary initially thought she would have her treatment and surgery in Saskatoon. They felt like they were a number in the system and that there was only one treatment the system pays for and other options are not available. Through Gods grace, the support of Mary’s wonderful Maley and Freeman family a miracle happened! As of May 22nd, in a matter of less than 8 hours, Mary is a patient of the Mayo Clinic, initial surgical consult and appointments scheduled for next week and a surgical date on Thursday-as long as she can increase her albumin. In Saskatoon she would be allowed no family members visiting at all. At the Mayo Doug can be there with her. Thanks to some really dear friends we are able to get our mom back to Minneapolis safely. Mary feels like every step of the way her guardian angels have been looking after her. She has a bit of a journey a head of her over the next several months. The amount of people who have stepped up to help my mom has been absolutely amazing. She wants to thank everyone for all the love and support. She feels it and it means the world to her and our family. 💕

We created a go fund me for anyone who wants to help join the fight! We really appreciate all the love and support.
