On 10/23/19 Mary was diagnosed with breast cancer. Needless to say this came as a massive shock. She has approached this with grace and her unwavering care for others, thinking how this diagnosis is impacting those around her. What you need to know about Mary, if you don't already, is that she is passionate, goes after what she wants, and has an amazing love of family, friends, and the Seahawks. We are taking this challenge just as a team approaches their next competition- with drive to win, believing we can do so, and strong teamwork to gain that win. This is where all of you come in. We will make sure you have the game plan, the details and specifics on the competition, and in return we hope for the teamwork to fight this cancer. In the coming weeks we will learn more about the competition and continue to share the information we learn. Mary is open with her journey, as she believes in the moral obligation of showing that people can battle, be victorious and be a model for those that fight their own challenges.
In the future we will be expanding Mary's social media, so there will be multiple ways to connect with her. We will post the information here, just be on the lookout. For the time being she asks for your prayers to take away the anxiety and worry. While we wait for more information Mary welcomes your messages of encouragement and reaching out to connect.
Just like our Seahawks give us a great model to follow- we do believe we will battle this cancer with all we have and come out victorious. Go Mary! Go Hawks!
