We received some devastating news that Mary has lung cancer. After trying to adapt to the news and trying to regulate her breathing she was diagnosed with Afib and heart rhythm issues and blood clots. We finally decided to go to Abbott where they were able to regulate the heart. A brain MRI showed that the cancer had spread through the blood stream to the brain. Three lesions were found and one being on the brain stem itself. Doctors have been optimistic, so much so that she has been discharged from inpatient care. We will be starting radiation treatment Thursday. 
A full scan of the body will be done and we will meet with oncology for the next stage of treatments to kick some cancer ass!
