On January 17th, 2017 at 11am I received a call from the doctor that every women fears.  The doctor asked me my location and told her I was driving.  She asked me to pull over.  All I can remember is the words "Mary I wish I had better news for you, We found breast cancer."  I was told I have IDC breast cancer.  It is a breast cancer that is found in the ducts of the breast.  I stands for Invasive.  The easy way of explaining in human terms is the the duct has broke open and is the surrounding tissue.  The doctors are amazing.  I was able to get into the Surgeon right away at 2pm.  I see the oncology doc Tuesday and the rheumatologist in a few days.  We have surgery scheduled for January 30th, 2017 at 8am.  I will try to keep everyone updated here.
