Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
After having a cold for a couple weeks Marwa went to the doctor, got some medicine and returned home on Monday, January 2.  Later that evening she woke up struggling to breathe.  Cody, her fiance, took her to the ER where she was diagnosed with pneumonia.  She received a strong antibiotic which she had a bad allergic reaction to.  Breathing became more difficult and after having a seizure, they decided to air lift her to St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN.
When she arrived at St. Mary's she had a couple more seizures and they began testing to determine any other causes for her illness.  After many negative test results, doctor's determined that Marwa has Guillan-Barre Syndrome.   She is now in the Neurological Intensive Care Unit in St. Mary's Hospital.  This syndrome has caused Marwa to be paralyzed from the neck down.   Doctor's say most people recover fully from this syndrome, but it takes months and many hours of rehab.
Marwa's family is trusting God to heal her.  Her mom is asking God why this happened while at the same time knowing He has a plan for Marwa.   Please pray for healing for Marwa.
