Welcome to Marv's CaringBridge website. I am using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your prayers along with your support and words of hope and encouragement.   Marv's journey from COPD is now at the "End Stage" and has entered the "Hospice" program to keep him comfortable and anxiety free.  I have chosen to take care of Marv at home with the help of a nurse once a week or as needed.  Marv continues to lose weight and has a limited, if any, appetite.  Ocasionally I take him out only to visit his business and I can see in his eyes how bad he misses going to the shop and visiting with his "Yellow Dog Friends" in South St. Paul.  (His aunt who willed the business to Marv was the person who called all of his SSP friends "Yellow Dogs" and I have lovingly picked it up and call them the same).  Marv always had a lot of visitors at his shop from business owners, to workers, to city staff (I often wondered how he ever got anything done), it was always a continual swinging door!  Marv no longer drives as his eyesight is failing as well as his hearing and definitely his memory.  I hope to find time to continue with this page, but I wanted to get it started because of all the family and friends that are asking "How is Marv doing".  Thank you for visiting.
