In June 2018 Marna was diagnosed with lung cancer. She underwent chemo and radiation and is currently getting immunotherapy treatments. Recently a CT scan showed no cancer. Marna did develop a blood clot in her leg in February and was being treated for this. March 2nd she had a stroke and is in the Intensive Care Unit at St. Cloud Hospital.
