Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Margorie suffered an acute ischemic stroke on Monday night. The clot busting medicine that was administered, with her consent, caused her brain to bleed.  Late Monday night she had a brain bleed in several areas. She is now in the ICU at Mercy Hospital and is not on life support, but she has neurological damage from the bleed, and can't communicate beyond following very simple commands, and performing simple actions. It's not clear if she will regain the ability to eat and drink. At the moment, we are waiting to see if her condition improves enough to move out of the ICU. She's currently in room 3605.  We've been getting a lot of text messages and will try to use this site going forward to respond and keep everyone informed of her condition.
